ELVIRA

Overview

The Enzyme Linked Virus Inhibitor Reporter Assay (ELVIRA) for Flu A is a cell-based quantitative assay that expresses luciferase when the cells are infected with Influenza A. ELVIRA Flu A can be used for quantitative virus titering in research applications, and for serum neutralization assays in flu vaccine development and QC. The optimized workflow saves labor costs and time in the laboratory.

A Unique Automated System

  • Reduces hands-on time required for results interpretation
  • Improves workflow in the lab
  • Allows researchers to obtain more results in a convenient and efficient manner

Rapid Turnaround Time

  • Cells and reagents are provided, eliminating the need to continuously propagate cells
  • Greatly reduces the staff time required to perform assays, improving lab efficiency and revenues.

Objective Results

  • Provides objective, quantitative results based on measurement of luminescence
  • Eliminates subjective plaque counts and hemagglutination inhibition assays
  • Provides laboratories with faster access to more reliable test results
  • Specific for Influenza A - does not detect Influenza B or non-influenza respiratory viruses
